Week 1 — The Work Begins With You

Before your child. Before the curriculum. Before the schedule. You.

Most parents build a homeschool the way you'd build a house with no idea what you're building it for; picking materials, rooms, and finishes before anyone asks what the family actually needs to live well. The curriculum gets chosen. The schedule gets built. And underneath all of it sits a question almost nobody answers on purpose: what is this for?

When that question goes unasked, it doesn't go away, it just gets answered by accident, by whatever curriculum catalog happened to be convincing, by whatever the loudest voice in your homeschool group believes, by fear of falling behind.

The outcome of this work is clarity that holds.

You'll know, not vaguely but specifically, what you're actually trying to produce: the kind of person, not just the kind of student. And every decision that follows; what to teach, what to skip, how to handle the hard year, what "success" even means in your house will have somewhere to stand.

Parents who do this work stop asking "is this curriculum good?" and start asking "is this curriculum for what I'm actually building?" question almost no curriculum catalog can answer for you, and one that, once answered, makes most other decisions dramatically easier.

This is the difference between a homeschool that bends with every new pressure and one that's anchored to something that doesn't move.

The Family Operating System

Week 2 — Your Vision, Your Calling

The outcome is a formation vision clear enough to guide decisions without pretending you can control the soul of your child.

Not a vague hope but an actual picture, specific enough that you'd recognize them if you met them at 25. How they treat people who disagree with them. What they do when no one's watching. What they find beautiful, what they find unbearable, what they'd sacrifice for and what they'd walk away from. Most parents have a fog where this picture should be, and a fog can't function as a compass.

Once that picture exists, it doesn't sit on a shelf, it becomes the test.

Every curriculum choice, every "should we push through this hard year or back off," every "is this extracurricular worth the time it costs," every disagreement between you and your spouse about how to handle something — all of it now has a question that actually settles things: does this move them toward who we said we're raising, or away from it? Decisions that used to take hours of debate start taking minutes, because the debate was never really about the curriculum — it was about not having a shared answer to this question yet.

This is also the moment your family's calling stops being abstract. Not "a good education" in the generic sense — your family's particular sense of what matters, made specific enough to act on. Two families can both value "raising thinkers" and mean entirely different things by it once you get underneath the word. This is where that difference becomes visible, named, and usable.

And this is what makes the foundation load-bearing.

A house built before the foundation is poured doesn't fall down immediately, it holds up fine on a calm day. It's the pressure (the bad year, the conflicting advice, the kid who doesn't fit the mold) that finds every place where the structure was never actually anchored. Families who do this work first don't get fewer hard years — they get hard years that don't threaten to take the whole thing down, because there's something underneath it that doesn't move.

OS stands for Operating System: the governing structure underneath your family’s educational life. Most parents try to build the house before they lay the foundation. The Family OS Intensive reverses that order.

Week 3 — Building the Blueprint

With your cornerstone set and your vision clear, we design your Family Education Blueprint. Built on conviction, aligned to your family’s composition and season. At the end of this, you will have a written Blueprint you can hold in your hands, your own framework for how learning actually happens in your home: which subjects matter most for this season, how your days and weeks are structured, what role you play versus what your child owns, how multiple ages and personalities fit together under one roof, and where the pressure points (the parts that always seem to break by October) have already been solved before they happen.

You'll be able to look at any curriculum, method, or new shiny thing someone recommends and immediately know: does this fit our Blueprint, or doesn't it, without months of trial-and-error.

And when someone asks "why do you do it that way?" you'll have an answer. Not borrowed from a philosophy you half-remember, but one you could explain without breaking a sweat, because you built it and it's actually yours.

Legacy Architecture

Week 4 — Making It Real and Making It Last

At the end of this, you will have a month-by-month roadmap for the next 12 months — what you're doing in September versus February, when to push and when to ease off, and how the year builds toward something instead of just filling time.

You'll also walk away with a review rhythm: a simple way to check in — monthly, seasonally, whenever you need it — and tell the difference between "this isn't working, change it" and "this is just hard right now, stay the course." Most families can't tell those apart in the moment, and end up either abandoning things too early or white-knuckling through things that genuinely need to change.

And you'll know how to do this again next year, and the year after — not by rebuilding from scratch, but by returning to your cornerstone and Blueprint and asking what needs to flex for this new season. The convictions stay fixed. The rhythms adjust. That's what makes it last long enough to one day hand to your child as something they understand, not just something they lived through.
